Ripple blanket and fish fridgie
This is my ripple afghan I'm working on. The colors are css wine, css pine, rh Aran Fleck. As you can see by the scarf posted below this post. I used a smaller hook and I'm getting more of the ripple effect then the wave effect of this one. But I love these colors.Posted by CrochetMeMad at 2:36 PM 0 comments

New scarfs & hat I'm working on

Some projects i've been working on this weekend. The top one is a receiving blanket that I crocheted around. I found the blanket at the goodwill, it was brand new, still had new tag and I paid .99cents for it. _________The 2nd one is a scarf made out of scrap yarn in a several granny's. All the yarn is RH. Next to it is an hat, I was just working in circles in sc and then did dbl stitches. Caron simply soft in bone and the dk blue is a scarp ball with no tag.________Posted by CrochetMeMad at 2:28 PM 0 comments

Shaded yellow BB. Textured.
This is a textured, baby blanket. (I still need to get the rest of the trim on it. Ran out of the yellow. arggg.) This is a gift for a friend of my son's who wife is having a chold #4, a boy. I LOVE this pattern. Stitches up fast and easy. Looks so pretty. I had to use a combination of yarns. The yellow and white is Caron Simply soft. The variegated yellow is Peaches & Cream, "yellow ombre". I could not find any yellow multi color yarn that I liked, except this brand. It's really for wash clothes. But the colors matched beautifuly. Although a little heavy. It would really be more appropriate for a fall or winter baby. Not a summer one. Oh well. O yea, the hook is a "K". The pattern is off of an ol site. I'll have to look up the name later and added here. She makes blankies for premies and posted her pattern to give as gifts or charity. I do have a green & cream one with a matching hat, that I made for charity. One of these day's I'll get that pic posted. And yes, Peaches & Cream makes the most wonderful duable dish clothes. I love them too. And I use this same pattern for them.

Crochet
Well it looks like my ripple scarf is turning into an afghan. I like the pattern so much and the colors I've decided to continue on with it. Not sure who it will go to. Maybe me. lol. So far I've really not kept anything i've made except a few dishclothes and hand towels and a scarf.

Scripture, Crochet, Prayer
Deuteronomy 1:21 See, the LORD your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the LORD, the God of your fathers, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
It is a beautiful day (as long as you stay inside with air-conditioner) other wise it is hot & humid. I'm fine with staying in, keeps my allergies and asthma happy. I did piddle around in the yard after 10 pm last night. Transplanted a few plants that looked like I got them too close together.
Still working on the purple/pink queen granny, and then started another one. Not a granny. This is with some Caron Simply Soft Brites, the picture on the label looked so fun. (for a child) and I'm itching to work with some soft yarn again. The pattern is a little on the small side to read, so I thought I would go their site and see if I could down load the pattern. Nope, they apparently do not offer this pattern anylonger. So I best not loose this label. (I think I will scan it into the computer, then I can turn it into a pdf and make the print larger.) I can't finish up on the shades of brown granny until I can find the right color "off white" to continue on. It was 3 balls of scrap "off white" I had and I'm not sure what brand, or actual color so I'm having a heck of a time. I thought about ordering, but it is so hard to match a color on line. So I've hit the hobby lobby's. They had some, but not the right texture. Now its time for Michaels and see if maybe Jeffrey Allans sells yarn. Otherwise I'll go back to hobby lobby and settle for a different texture. Otherwise I'll just turn this into a baby/toddler afghan and say good and start again.
Lord, thank you for giving us this beautiful day. And working air-conditoners. For the beautiful flowers that are in bloom all around me. Thank you for all the blessings you give me. A wonderful husband, two awsome boys and a ton of brothers and sisters and family to be thankful for. You are truly an awsome heavenly father and I thank you.
