Scripture & Prayer

Matthew 16:24-25. Then Jesus told his diciples, "if any want ot become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. for those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose thier life for my sake will find it."

Behold I do not give lectures or a little charity. When I give I give myself. Walt Whitman

Lord we have so much to be thankful for and so many we need to lift up in prayer. We know you are all powerful and can meet the needs of each and every individual that weighs heavely on my heart. Comfort, bless those that need it. Heal those that need healing Lord. Lord I thank you for watching over me. My fall could have been much worse then it was, but you protected me (once again) and I again am so thankful that you are a part of my life. Thank you for the dizzy spells being small ones and not large ones. Guide the doctors as they try to decipher what keeps causing these incidents and Lord bless my husband. He is truly a comfort and blessing to me. I truly, truly appreciate how much he puts himself out there for me.

I thank you for all you do. In your name I pray AMEN!!

Updates

Don't hurry God. The problems that we think may drown us today could be the stepping-stones to greater spiritual strength tomorrow.

Well I think I may be up and moving for good now. Yippee. First few days home from the hospitol all I wanted to do was sleep and I decided my body knew what was best so I slept, except for meal time and a couple hours up to check my emails.

The pain in my left leg has let up alot and the swelling is starting to mimalize, although I'm sure If I stay sitting up to long the swelling will begin again.

Thanks to a wonderful friend. (Bless you Marsha), I did not have to worry about cooking or eating out or worrying about my husband posioning me with his cooking. She one evening dropped off Spaghetti with garlic bread and salad and german chocolate cake. She brought so much over we got three good meals out of it. And it was YUMMMY for my TUMMY!!!

Hubby has been plugging away at his programming, must be tough to work from home and sit in your robe to do your job. He is getting to spoiled and won't know what to do when he has to go back to the office. Cyndiloo is in 7th heaven, she has two of her three favorite people at her beck and call and is really lapping it up.

In the crocheting world. I have about 6 comfortghan squares to get made in various colors and sizes for various people. One who's cousins son who took his life. So tragic, another who if fighting the battle of breast cancer and the blanket will comfort & warm her while she is going through her treatments. A couple more for stroke victims, so that they can recieve warmth and comfort as well. We had about a week where this need seemed to almost come to a stop. But it is back in full swing. Crocheting one or two little squares is nothing, when it gives comfort and blessing to someone who is need of it. I assure you had I had a comfortghan while in the hospitol I would have been cuddling up with it. Of course its one of those things you never think to ask for yourself or do for yourself.

I also still have my shawl to finish for my swap partner. I'm 6 rows into it. I may have made it larger then needed, but she will be able to wrap herself up in and keep the evening chill off of her arms. The design is a slow design and I won't be wipping this out anytime soon.

I think I have the idea's going for my other swap partner. Its all about the letter "A" this month. Crochet or hand make something using the letter "A". I've found a few little extra things that will be fun to add to her box when its time to send it out. Then I have a baby blanket to finish up, its 3/4 of the way done and will be so soft and cuddly. Then I need to return to sashas gift, I keep putting this one on the back burner. I'm not as happy with it as I thought I would be. The 4th block design has me stumped.

Well thats it for the moment. I'm sure i'll be back.

I'm back

Hello all if you missed me I'm back. I had a nasty fall over the weekend and had to spend a couple of days in the hospitol. I'm feeling somewhat better. The problem causing the fall (a dizzy spell and pain in my left leg) has not been figured out. The swelling and pain in my left leg and the pain is just tremendous. I'm in a please "don't touch" my calf stage. All the laying down in the world doesn't seem to eliminate the swelling and neither are the water pills. I'm taking way to much pain medication in my opinion for the pain and hope it doesn't increase or get worse. I want to do more then sleep all the time.

I may be a real hit and miss with my blog for a few days.

If your reading this keep me in your prayers.

Every Day should be something Special

Now, I need to know what people think of this!!! Do you like these idea's? Is there something different you would like to see done on a given day? (I may take it under consideration).
Talk to me, don't just glance over my site and walk away. It hurts my poor little "feelers". After all the idea of a BLOG IS, in part, "TO PARTICIPATE" and guess what this blog is set up so you can do it anonymously.
Imagine that? I don't want to know where you live, I don't want your life history, your email account so I can spam you (dern it anyway.) I don’t want your drivers licence number, SSN or bank information (well ??? how much have you got?? RLOL) . Now how many other places do you get to participate without all those things. Hehe.
Do you like any of my projects I've posted? (Thank you MK for leaving comments, I truly appreciate it. and others who have left a comment.) Let me know!! Do you have idea’s on how I could make them better?? _______________________ **Monday is Prayer Monday & goal day: Although every day is "PRAYER DAY', let us start the week off right with a prayer. Don't forget to put in your prayer request, after all prayer is stronger when "more than two, shall pray together on the same topic." (Matt 18: 17-19) So, lets pray together and then Set your goals for your week, let me know how you did on last weeks goals.
_____________________________ Tuesday is Trashy Tuesday: And NO not what you think. Another mans trash is someone elses treasures. Do you have a great way to recyle that you don't mind sharing? Do you have a "make something out nothing" project?
___________________________ **Wednesday is Happiness or warm Wednesday: Its hump day, we are starting to feel tired and we just need a reminder of why we go through "what we go through!!!" Personal Happiness what makes you happy, what just makes your day or finishes it off perfectly? What makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. What Makes you Thankful your alive?
________________________________ Thursday is Recipe Thursday: Share your favorite recipe with me, especially a low-cal or sf one. This gives us the weekend to buy what is needed and test it on our Guinea pigs. I promise to let you know if I tried it and what we thought of it.
__________________________________Friday is Fitful Friday: What little thing did you do this week to add to your "fitfulness"? Body, mind or spirit? Did you buy a new book to keep your mind fitful? Did you keep up on your exercise routine even though it was hectic day or week? Did you do something or did someone do something for you that totally lifted your spirits?
__________________________________Saturday & Sunday: I’m usually away from the computer most of the day on these two days so I’m not going to ask for anything on those day. YET!!! LOL!!! However don't let that stop me from you POSTING!!! __________________ **(ok, I saw "some" of this on other sites and I just love "some" of the ideas and they has given permission to pass it on to others to use it.)
I see where blogger is once again trying to run lines together. So I am putting lines in my text to seperate it. I really wish it would quit running paragraphs together. If I wanted one long sentence I would post one long sentence. Centering it doesn't seem to help either. ARGGGGG

Scripture & Prayer

Jeremiah 17: 14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed: save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.

Oh course, Dear god, when you do a thing, it's done to perfection. But I praise you for the best part: you know the perfect time to apply your healing and to bring your salvation. As I wait, make my patience ever stronger. Heal those that have cancer, kidney disease, diabetes, lupus, fybromyalshia, MS, the drug addict, the alchololic, the depressed, those that suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure and so many more depletating diseases. We know you are all powerful and all knowing and we pray this in your loving, glorious name. Amen

"Peaches & Cream" Yellow and blue wash clothes. For ME!! I was in desperate need of some new dish clothes. Bryan was so hard on mine, bleaching them and stuff. A couple are a little wonky. I was expermenting with a pattern and then lost my place and what I was doing. But for me, I don't care. They clean dishes and counters just the same. I often make dishclothes when I am practicing a new pattern, it is a great way to learn a stitch and make something useful out of the final project.
______________
4-10" scrap baby granny's sewen together. I realized when I was looking at the picture that I missed the edging on one side. So I'll have to fix it, before donating it. This is a baby size blanket. I closed my eyes, reached into my bag of scrap balls and used what ever color I pulled out, some balls were scarp balls that had been tied together. Not more than a few inches to a few yards of yarn for each color. I then carreid those colors into the other 3 blocks unless I had none of that ball left. Then I substituted.
__________________
I've noticed in my last two posts with pictures in it, it never actually posts the pictures in the order it shows them in when I am typing out the things about the picture. This is very frustrating. This blog also does not let me do a cut and paste. So I guess I'll have to start typing in WP and then coping and pasting it over so it's easier to change out. This site still needs some major work.

The first pic is a PREMIE blanket with a matching hat, done in dbl stitch in soft green, cream, tan, with a very pretty edging. This is my very first set done for a PREMIE baby adn the hat was a real challenge. This set will be donated for one of my charites.
__________
The next is of a baby blue blanket for a family member on my husbands side. They just had a baby boy.
________
In the next row is a VERY large Granny, done in a country blue and 2 balls of scarp varigated yarn that did not have a label on them. This will go to Colorado for someone out there. It almost fits a full size bed. I did this back in March or April and it kept my legs so nice and toasty while I was working on it.
_____________
Next is a set of "Peaches & Cream" dish clothes in Faded demin and red. These will be a gift for someone. I just love doing these, they are so much fun and handy and work so well in the kitchen or bathroom. Both as a dishcloth or face cloth.
_______________
The last row is two scarfs. One is for an adult and the other for a child. The child one will go to charity for sure and the adult I think to Colorado. Now should I put fringe on them??? The child one, I am out of yarn for it and it maybe a little short.

Scripture and Prayer

I will both lie down and sleep in peace: for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. Psalm 4:8. ________Lord, because of your promise, I can be still and calm even when it's hectic around me. Thank you Lord, for that inner peace that you bring to me and to all those who know you and believe in you. In your name I pray amen.

Comfortghan Coming together, more blocks received

The top pic is of all the squares I received as of today's date to go towards my comfortghan.____ The second pic is of a few squares I received from "grannytime" from PA over at the ville. She went above the call of duty on her batch. I was expecting 1 or 2 and look she sent me 5, Simply Marvelous. _____The thrid pic is squares sent in from Deeds in California also over at the ville. I love the hearts worked into the square. I could not pick a set of favorites out of any of these, Each one is so unique and seems to really tell something about the person who made them. Thank you. All of you. You've lightened my load on makeing and getting this blanket done in a timely fashion.

Prayer Monday

Proverb 16: 18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Pride is an admission of weakness: it secretly fears all competition and dreads all rivals. --Fulton J. Sheen

Our heavenly father, we thank you for the wonderful weekend you gave us with my dear husband. We pray that you bless him through this week, while he is gone and working. Keep him safe. There are so many needs out there Lord. Please meet them all. Heal the sick, feed the hungry, meet the emotional needs that need met, the financial needs that need met. In short Lord, do what you do best Lord. We know you are all powerful and all knowing. We know there is not a need that you can not meet if you so deem it. We thank you for all you do Lord. Bring those that do not know you Lord, who do not know your wonder of forgiveness, the openess of having such a friend as you on their side, Bring them to you Lord. Give them the peace and security that only YOUR LOVE can bring. In your name we pray amen.

Good morning all. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was filled with lots of painting and painting and more painting. It seems that old dry paneling we are trying to cover up is thirsty. It is just soaking in the kilz primer and stain block we are using. Three coats later and still looks like the we've barely touched the wall. So back to town we go for more kilz. It will more then likely have to wait until this coming weekend to finish it. I am beginning to think it is the room that will never "be". Every time we turn around there is a problem with it. lol.

Mandatory Volunteerism

Mandatory Volunteerism? compulsory volunteerism was passed by house & senate and signed into law in april 2009. Can anyone explain to me how being forced to volunteer is any different from slavery? Check out http://lisaizme.blogspot.com/2009/07/mandatory-volunteerism.html to learn a little more about this.

Scripture, Prayer

The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

You have promised an all-encompassing peace, Lord. May I take this moment and embrace the quiet joy of being in your sunlight. Please grant peace to all those who troubled Lord. You know the needs. In your name I pray. Amen.

Scripture & proverb

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.

The beginning of wisom is to call things by their right names.--Chinese Proverb

I thought I would be different today and add a proverb to my scripture.
Looks like i'm going on the B.R.A.T. diet for awhile. A glass of milk tuesday morning for lunch and 2 chicken strips for dinner and I was dying with the bile again. I did get some herb tea that seems to be helping some. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and toast and my herb tea for a few days. Maybe by then the docs and insurance companies will come to some agreement. I really think I need an upper G.I. done.

Oh Lord, you are so good to me. You gave me another cool day. Thank you. Your blessings are rich & bountiful and I thank you for them. Continue to heal me and give me strength. Lord, bless all those that are ill and heavy burdened, shine your light upon them. Watch over them and keep our loved ones safe. YOU are MAGNIFICANT and I thank you. In your name I pray. Amen
This cute little picture came in an email attachement and I just fell in love with it. I even made it a backdrop for my desktop. Who ever came up with it, nice job.

Scripture & Prayer

Psalm 18:30 (NIV) As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.

As you can see i'm late getting online today. I had a long night. I have severe gastric problems. To the point the acid from my stomach gets into my throat, sinus and just burns and then triggers asthma attacks. I even vomit pure foam. The insurance company is 2nd guessing my doctors. For almost a year I've been pretty much heartburn free. The wonderful doctor put me on not one nexium but two a day. One in the a.m. and one at night. Within weeks my asthma attacks had started to clear up. I was having 3/4 a day. The burning, battery acid coming from my stomach started to lesson and I was able to move from a constant diet of the B.R.A.T. diet. A year later, my life had gone to pretty much normal. In one fatal swoop, the insurance company messed it all up. They said there was no reason to take two nexium today, that is way over the recommended dosage, and refused to pay their portion. To make matters worse, they have refused to pay for the 1 pill a day. So I have been back on prilosec for almost 3 weeks. I'm telling you I have no use for this stuff. I've tried it a dozen times before, it just doesn't work. Last night was the worst its been in awhile. It took to prilosec and (emergency dose of nexium), alka seltzer at 3:00 am, tums at 4. Herbal tummy tea all night long. Finally around 5 I got some relief and got a few hours sleep almost in a complete sitting up position.

Today I had 1 c. apple sauce, 2 baked chicken tenders and it started again, by 3 this afternoon, i thought someone uncorked a battery in my stomach. By the time hubby gets home on Friday I just may be in the ER. I know my medication is the biggest culprit in all this, and there just is now way around some of my medications.

So please if your reading this pray for me. Lord, you know whats going on with my body. Please give me relief, heal my stomach and make me whole. In your name I pray amen.

My new craft room floor

My new floor for the craft room is finally in. Yippee, hubby did a very nice job. Now onto paint and border and painting the ceiling then moving everything in. I'm so excited.

12" Cluster Stitch Granny for comfortghan

This is from the Medley of Granny's, Called the "Cluster Stitch Granny". It was orginally for a 6" granny and I needed a 12" so I played with the rest of the rounds. It goes out tomorrow for a friend (from the ville) who's sister has cancer. The friend will be making a comfortghan. I really wanted dusty rose, but couldn't find any. The yarn is Caron Simply Soft in Bone, Plum Wine, and Baby Blush.

Ripple blanket and fish fridgie

This is my ripple afghan I'm working on. The colors are css wine, css pine, rh Aran Fleck. As you can see by the scarf posted below this post. I used a smaller hook and I'm getting more of the ripple effect then the wave effect of this one. But I love these colors.
On the top-- is my fishy I was messing with. I'll make him into a fridgie. I was expermenting thinking these would be cute on some scarfs. Here is the site he came from. Or maybe it's a she.

New scarfs & hat I'm working on

Some projects i've been working on this weekend. The top one is a receiving blanket that I crocheted around. I found the blanket at the goodwill, it was brand new, still had new tag and I paid .99cents for it. _________The 2nd one is a scarf made out of scrap yarn in a several granny's. All the yarn is RH. Next to it is an hat, I was just working in circles in sc and then did dbl stitches. Caron simply soft in bone and the dk blue is a scarp ball with no tag.________
Next is the start of scarf using the ripple pattern and made out of scarp yarn. I love the way it is looking and its a ripple. Yippeee. _________The third is a two tones of pink mixed with tan, done in a combination broomstick and textured pattern at the end. I really like how the colors and the larger broomstick with less loops is making this one look. It wil go to Colorado I think.___ The 4th one is made of the same yarn as the broom stick. I'm just alternating rows of stitches. 3rows of sc, 3rows of double, 3 rows of triple then change colors and start again. This will be a charity scarf. More to come.
