WL and Emotions and my food for the day
Today was not a very good day for me, all the way around. I hurt, I was emotional and I fell off the food wagon. I wasn’t seriously bad about the food part, but still bad enough. Now I know I’m not the only one who eats when they are emotional. So if you are reading this blog. I’d like to know about your day, and how you handle "eating" habits on the bad days and even the good days. What are your stress factors?? What is your favorite "diet" food? (I hate the word diet and try not to use it). I’m changing my life habits!!! What is the one food that no matter what, you will not do with out??
Food Intake:
Breakfast: Oatmeal and slice of toast. Hot herbal tea. Snack: ½ orange and a 12 oz bottle of diet coke. Lunch: Soup and 5 crackers. Dinner: Rueben Sandwhich with horseradish and thousand island dressing, 2 pickles and cup cottage cheese and ice tea. Snack: Evening watermelon. I drink water all day long, so I don’t count it in when I figuring things.

My stress factors is being bummed or being very, extremely angry. Both make me want to eat. I don’t eat to much when I’m in pain. I figure the pain medication must take care of my appetite. And of course if I’m in a good mood I don’t eat.
I’m not sure if I have a favorite “diet” food. I like cottage cheese, yogurt and salads. Again I try not use the word diet and I’m just trying to eat in moderation. Although because of my diabetes I have to be careful with carbs.
I have several types of favorite foods. Reuben is my favorite sandwich. I love prime rib. And smothered breakfast burritos’s in green chili, which you cannot get here in Illinois. I only get a good burrito when I go to Colorado. The restaurants here have no idea how to make a “real” breakfast burrito or green chilli. I love soup, of course it’s the creamed soups. (Potato, broccoli, and oh Hot & Sour Soup, beans & ham.) Hot and sour soup is my all time favorite soup.
I’d have to say the reuben and hot and sour soup are the two foods I cannot do without.
